Website of the week – The FEMA ‘College List’
Since 9/11, emergency management has evolved academically into a popular major for degrees ranging from certificate to doctoral level.
Now, get ready, as numerous acronyms follow. The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently compiled quite a directory of emergency management-related, higher education programs. Known as “The College List”, this directory also displays a section highlighting learning opportunities available over the web.
The larger EMI list, which includes on-campus programs, can be found here. Needless to say, the EMI distance learning section looks well-researched, and offers numerous possibilities.
