Louisiana Tech University Global_Campus
Louisiana Tech University recently established a Global Campus of its own.
I can already hear your reaction as you read this. “Louisiana Who?”
Louisiana Tech stands tall along side my favorite state universities offering unique online degree programs. Coinciding with the “Tech” name, LTU is well known for its engineering programs, particularly nanosystems engineering. In short, the university has been around for quite some time and is widely considered to be a solid academic institution.
There’s more. Apart from a notable alumni list that includes Karl Malone, Terry Bradshaw, P.J. Brown, Leon Barmore, and Kim Mulkey, the Lady Techsters have appeared in the NCAA Women’s Division I Basketball National Championship game six times over the years and won the title twice. This year, LTU’s football team upset Mississippi State in their season opener.
But I’ve saved the best for last: tuition. According to the university website, LTU’s out-of-state tuition rates may rank among the most reasonable in the United States if taking one graduate or two undergraduate courses per quarter.
Moreover, LTU currently offers some very attractive online degree options in niche areas such as health information (associates, bachelors, masters) and technical writing. From a price perspective, the graduate technical writing certificate and Masters of Health Information Management seem like excellent values.
My prediction: Louisiana Tech’s new Global_Campus will be quite successful once word gets around.
